SEBASTIAN WEIGLE NEW CHIEF CONDUCTOR IN JAPAN

Sebastian Weigle, General Music Director of Oper Frankfurt since 2008, takes up the post of Chief Conductor of the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra in Tokyo in 2019/20.

He begins a three year contract there, following on from another General Music Director of Oper Frankfurt, Sylvain Cambreling, on April 1 2019, but continues his work in Frankfurt, where his contract runs until 2023.
