During the Korean tenor Ingyu Hwang's time in Oper Frankfurt's Opera Studio, which he left last season, his roles included Graf Elemer (Arabella), Don Riccardo (Ernani, in concert), Federico di Frengel (Stiffelio), the Young Man (Eötvös’ Der goldene Drache / The Golden Dragon) and roles in Britten's Paul Bunyan, Il tabarro and Der Graf von Luxemburg (available on CD - OehmsClassics). He is back this season as a guest to sing Lord Cecil in concert performances of Roberto Devereux, Borsa in Rigoletto and a Young Prisoner in Aus einem Totenhaus / From the House of the Dead and Flavio in Norma - both new productions. Ingyu Hwang sang Silvio (Martin y Soler's L’arbore di Diana) under Paolo Carignani, Tomin (Oberleithner's Aphrodite) under Levin Handschuh and Narraboth (Mariotte's Salomé) under Ulf Schirmer at the Prinzregententheater in Munich. This young tenor has also appeared at the Arts Center in Seoul, where he studied before joining the August Everding Theater Academy in Munich.
