Born in Rieti (Italy), Emanuele Orsini graduated from the Giulio Briccialdi Conservatoire in Terni, where he studied with Claudia Bucchini and Fabio Angelo-Colajanni before going to the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome to work with Andrea Oliva and the University for Music and the Performing Arts in Stuttgart, where he currently studies with Davide Formisano. He took part in chamber music courses run by Mario Montore and continues expanding his chamber music repertoire as a member of the Avos Project. He has won many prizes at competitions including 1st prize at MIUR’s Premio delle Arti, 1st prize and all special prizes at the international Severino Gazzelloni competition and, from Sir James Galway himself, the prize for the best young performer at the 2022 Galway Flute Festival. He receives regular invitations to leading Italian flute festivals (including the Falaut Festival and Falaut Campus) and took part in the Ticino Musica Festival, where he made music with leading musicians. He also took part in masterclasses held by renowned flautists including Claudio Montafia, Andrea Manco, Gareth Davies, Sebastian Jacot, Gianluca Campo, Michele Marasco, Sarah Louvion and James Galway.
