Concerts series by young singers in our Opera Studio continues in this season.

»Un’ aura amorosa«
This evening, (here is the programme) as the title suggests, is all about love – Ferrando uses all his skills of seduction in this beautiful aria, although it remains unclear if he really wants to conquer his friend Guglielmo's girl friend to win a ridiculous bet. Later on Giuglielmo claims that they are rich are as Croesus, more beautiful than Narcissus, stronger than and brainy as philosophers – nobody who could match up to them could be found between Vienna and Canada. It really is a little puzzling when the two young women start falling for them, despite these mild exaggerations! For some unknown reason Mozart cut one aria from Così fan tutte - „Rivolgete a lui lo sguardo“ - one of the lovliest buffo arias there is. The young singers will also sing arias sung by love struck characters from operas including Eugen Onegin and Hamlet.
Taking part are: sopranos Alison King & Elizabeth Sutphen, tenor Jaeil Kim, baritones Iain MacNeil & Mikołaj Trąbka and bass baritone Thesele Kemane, accompanied on the piano by Michał Goławski.
