The Italian tenor Leonardo Caimi, who conquers one international opera stage after the other, is back at Oper Frankfurt, where he made his debut in 2017 singing Cavaradossi in Tosca, which was followed by Henri in Les vêpres sicilienne, to sing Don José in Carmen, a role he sings soon at the National Theatre in Prague. He started 2024 off with Rodolfo (La bohème) at Covent Garden and can soon be heard singing Luigi (Il tabarro) at Welsh National Opera Cardiff and returns to London in November for the title role in Les contes d´Hoffmann. Other recent engagements have included Don José at the Teatro Real in Madrid and Deutsche Oper Berlin, Gabriele Adorno (Simon Boccanegra) at the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, Ruggero (La rondine) at the Pucciniano Festival in Torre del Lago, Rodolfo in Florence, Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly) in Brussels and Seoul and Maurizio (Adriana Lecouvreur) at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires. These were followed by Calaf (Turandot) at Oper Leipzig and Polish National Opera in Warsaw, his return to Brussels for Turiddu (Cavalleria rusticana) and his debut in Santiago de Chile, singing Cavaradossi. He has also thrilled audiences in Dresden, Salzburg, Milan, Rome and Detroit, in Japan and South Korea singing roles including Samson (Samson et Dalila), Des Grieux (Manon Lescaut), Riccardo (Un ballo in maschera), Maurizio (Adriana Lecouvreur), Fritz (L’amico Fritz), Verdi's Don Carlo and Radames (Aida).  Leonardo Caimi, who has enjoyed great success at many singing competitions, studied composition, clarinet, singing and philosophy.
